protocol documentation

the decentralized career and human capital market for crypto, resolving genuine substance over attention symbols.

section 01

introduction & genesis mission

:/rr is the first decentralized career market in crypto, serving as a high-signal talent layer for teams and a verifiable storefront for the people doing the work.

Historically, crypto has lacked a functioning career market. The space instead operated as a creator and attention market driven by InfoFi mechanisms: channels for protocols to farm audience engagement through leaderboards and vanity incentives. :/rr was founded on the conviction that crypto has matured beyond ephemeral attention cycles. Teams need dedicated, proven people to scale what they are building, and those people need stable, compounding paths anchored in demonstrated capability.

core mission statement

":/rr is building a sustainable layer where human capital becomes as tradable, trackable, and verifiable as financial capital. We filter the entire ecosystem down to verified skill holders with reputable records of output to power protocol hiring."

section 02

the careerfi thesis

Human capital in crypto is not a seasonal trend. It is the single continuous asset that has persisted from the earliest days of smart contracts through every market expansion and contraction.

While past metas (NFT hype, memecoin frenzies, speculative point programs) decay over time, human capital compounds indefinitely. Crypto's next fundamental infrastructure leap is constructing an objective layer that collates, indexes, and measures verified contributions, routing people directly to the work.

enduring capacity

compounding skill value

Unlike attention points that depreciate post-TGE, real depth and product capability stay with the person forever.

protocol stability

post-tge execution

Provides a soft-landing model for protocols moving from token generation hype to rigorous product development.

section 03

infofi vs. careerfi: substance over symbol

InfoFi (Information and Attention Finance) gamifies mindshare, measuring influence through Twitter engagement, impressions, and leaderboard farming. While useful for top-of-funnel discovery, treating attention metrics as hiring criteria creates systemic vulnerabilities.

infofi (symbol)
careerfi (substance)
Ephemeral attention & social impressions
Durable skill acquisition & proven output
Marketing run as talent selection
Hiring run against shipped work
Follower count as the sole criterion
Attention as one signal among several
Attrition we have not measured, and do not quote a figure for
Attribution to verifiable shipped work instead of mindshare

:/rr does not seek to eliminate attention tools or the leaderboards that produce them. Marketing remains marketing. The point is narrower: preventing any single attention metric from acting as the sole determinant of talent hiring.

section 04

the :/rr ethos

"Building a total branch away from the traditional culture of how human capital is valued on the internet already pits the odds against us. Staying true to this reality and remaining undaunted in building systemic change for the entire talent and protocol ecosystem. That is our ethos."

We dismantle crypto nepotism by protecting genuine skill culture. We replace shallow influencer handouts with authenticated, in-house team placements based on verifiable merit.

section 05

dual-sided value proposition

for talent

unfiltered skill recognition

  • •Direct matching based on verified technical traits, code contributions, and authentic focus.
  • •Clear documentation of your work, whatever form it takes.
  • •Insulation from vanity leaderboards; recognition for real engineering substance.
for web3 protocols

durable team execution

  • •Pre-validated candidates whose profiles demonstrate genuine product comprehension.
  • •Long-term talent alignment rather than short-term contract farming.
  • •Scores derived from indexed public work, with a per-component breakdown.
section 06

the 5-stage verification pipeline

Every profile on :/rr passes through a deterministic 3-step resolution framework to generate reliable talent signal:

stage 01

Archetype Resolution

Maps raw abilities and code commits into precise archetypes (e.g., Protocol Engineer, Smart Contract Auditor, MEV Specialist).

stage 02

Cross-Platform Indexing

Indexes GitHub repositories and your public posts, read from where they were published.

stage 03

Signal Delivery

Outputs a hiring signal to teams looking for proven people.

section 07

why :/rr is not a job board

Traditional initiatives (Discord channels, Telegram listing bots, or static job boards) exist as minor add-on features to existing communities. They perpetuate seasonal, transient gig opportunities without measuring competence.

:/rr is a foundational talent infrastructure layer. We provide a scalable talent market where human capital is trackable, verified, and transmissible. We filter through the noise to establish transparent, authentic records of career reputation.

section 08

the post-tge protocol execution model

The protocols that derive the highest strategic value from :/rr are post-TGE teams executing their long-term technical roadmap.

Following token generation, protocols transition from pre-launch attention farming into building tangible utility. :/rr serves as the immediate next step: converting community knowledge into dedicated in-house engineering and operations talent that cares about product survival.

section 09

everything we do, in plain words

hiring profiles built from public work, with every point linked to the thing it came from.

part 01

what this is

:/rr builds hiring profiles out of work people have already put in public. Type a username, we read the posts or repositories behind it, and every point on the score links back to where it came from.

Crypto hired on attention: leaderboards, campaigns, follower counts. Teams paid for reach they could not inspect. The evidence that someone can do a job was usually online already.

in one line

Hiring decisions should rest on work you can open, not on a number someone else assigned.

part 02

what a signal is

what a signal is

A signal is the collated form of everything you have already published. It is not a CV, a profile you fill in, or a claim about yourself that somebody else scores. It is built from public work, dated, and read the same way for a repository and a video channel, which is what lets an engineer and a creator end up on the same scale.

We show the signal rather than a list of links. Opening twenty posts to decide whether a number is fair is work we are claiming to have already done, and handing it back in a list of URLs was doing exactly that. The score, its four parts and the work behind them sit together on one screen.

part 03

the argument

Attention depreciates. Campaigns end and good threads get buried. Skill does not, which makes it the only thing here worth pricing in.

Repositories are public. Posts are public with dates. Follower counts are public. The job is not a new signal, it is to stop pretending the loudest number is the only one, and to show the working.

enduring capacity
skill outlasts the cycle

Campaign points expire when the campaign does. What someone has built does not, and it is the only part that is still true in two years.

project stability
teams that have to ship

Once the token is out, the work is real and the hiring is hard. This is for teams at that point.

part 04

reach vs. work

Reach is good for finding people. It stops working when it is the only thing you looked at.

reach on its own
reach plus evidence
Impressions that reset every morning
Work you can open and read
Marketing that decides who to hire
Hiring run against shipped work
Follower count as the whole story
Reach as one number out of four
Attrition nobody has measured
Each point traced to a link

We are not against attention tools. A good thread is worth reading. The narrower claim is that no single attention number should be the last word on who gets hired.

part 05

what we will not claim

"We have not measured whether this changes who gets hired, so we do not quote an effect size. What we can show you is the score, the four numbers behind it, and every link."

A score measures how much public output exists and how much it moved. That is not how good the work is.

part 06

what you get

for talent

if you are building things

  • •Matched on what you shipped, not on what you say you want to do.
  • •One link per score. Anyone can check the claim themselves.
  • •No follower leaderboard standing between you and the work.
for crypto projects

if you are hiring

  • •You read the work, not a summary of it.
  • •Recent output is visible, so you can see who is still doing this.
  • •The scoring is documented, including where it is weak.
part 07

how the signal is built

Four steps, no black box. This is the whole path, in the order it happens.

stage 01
Signal collated

One signal, assembled from every post, repository, video, essay and governance action you have published. Nothing is typed in by you at any point, which is the part that makes it autonomous: the profile is your published output, not your description of it.

stage 02
Work indexed

Up to 50 recent posts on X, or 30 repositories on GitHub, each read from where it was published and dated. An engineer and a video creator go through the identical path, so the index does not quietly assume one kind of work is the real one.

stage 03
Account checked

An X account needs at least 50 followers and at least one post in the last 30 days, which rejects the accounts made minutes earlier for the purpose of selling something. It is a cheap filter rather than proof, and we say so. There is one exemption, for this project's own account, named in the code so you can see who it covers.

stage 04
Scored, and shown working

Volume, impact, recency and reach, each displayed separately with the numbers behind it. The signal is rendered on the page rather than listed as links to open, so the claim and its sources sit in the same place.

part 08

why not just a job board

A job board is a list of roles that goes stale. Neither it nor a Discord channel tells you anything about the person beyond what they typed in.

:/rr starts from the person, not the role. The profile exists whether or not anyone is hiring, and the same rules apply to everyone.

part 09

who this is for

Anyone who has shipped something in public. Writers, creators, designers and engineers are indexed the same way, and none is the default.

For teams: read four numbers and twenty links rather than taking a claim on trust. For everyone else, free to build, and never listed without consent.
